Odosswap after Odos shutdown: wallet access

Odos was a non-custodial decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator. Its hosted trading and API services closed in July 2026. Access to existing assets depends on independent control of the wallet, with different access requirements for wallets connected from outside Odos and wallets created inside it through social or email login.

Wallets connected from outside Odos

A self-custody wallet you connected to Odos retains its on-chain assets under the same keys. You don't need to withdraw those assets from Odos: the company didn't hold them. Access continues through the external wallet, provided you still control it.

Wallets created through social or email login

In its July 23, 2026 wind-down announcement, the Odos team told users who'd created wallets through social or email login to transfer assets to another wallet or export their private key before July 30, 2026.

A transfer moves the selected assets to another address. Exporting a private key preserves control information for the original wallet; it doesn't itself move any assets. An email or social login alone doesn't establish that either action was completed.

The team also said wallet access and step-by-step instructions would remain available after closure. The July 2026 deadline didn't change ownership of on-chain assets, but the announced recovery provision doesn't guarantee successful access to a particular wallet.

Example: Choosing between a transfer and a key export

Hypothetical example: before the July 30, 2026 cutoff, a user can access a wallet created inside Odos through email login and controls a separate destination wallet. Their aim is to hold the selected assets in that destination wallet.

The announced options were an asset transfer or a private-key export. Either route needs to leave the user with independent control of the address holding those assets. The transfer option fits this user's aim; a key export would leave the assets at the original address.

If the on-chain transfer record confirms receipt of the selected assets at the intended destination, it establishes that those assets reached the independently controlled wallet. A signature or submitted transaction alone wouldn't confirm receipt. Exporting the original wallet's key would remain a separate task if the user also wanted to retain access to that address.

Trading and support ended in July 2026

The app entered read-only mode on July 27, 2026, ending hosted swaps. July 30, 2026 was the final cutoff for company-operated services, including the API, development, support and maintenance. The announced wallet-recovery provision concerns access to existing wallets; it doesn't reopen trading or establish ongoing customer support.

The operating company said it wouldn't launch new products, token migrations, token claims or airdrops. It warned about fake support accounts and migration sites. Never disclose a seed phrase or private key to someone offering recovery.
